Overview
We are seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer/Specialist with strong problem-solving capabilities, advanced engineering skills, and the ability to conceptualize and present innovative solutions. This role is pivotal to our team, requiring expertise in Azure data engineering and related tools to transform complex datasets into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Solution Design: Develop and implement cutting-edge solutions leveraging Azure Synapse and semantic models to address complex business challenges.
- Advanced Engineering: Reverse engineer T-SQL packages, migrate SSIS workloads to Azure, and optimize Spark Notebooks for analytics and processing.
- Medallion Architecture Implementation: Build and maintain bronze, silver, and gold layers to enhance data accessibility and quality.
- Azure Cloud Expertise: Lead the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and efficient Azure data solutions.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Foster teamwork by mentoring junior engineers and enhancing cross-functional collaboration.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Translate technical concepts into actionable insights and solutions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Azure Engineering: Demonstrated expertise in Azure cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in data transformation and integration.
- T-SQL & Reverse Engineering: Advanced capability to dissect and re-engineer complex T-SQL packages.
- Data Migration: Experience migrating SSIS workflows to Azure Data Factory or other Azure-native tools.
- Spark Notebooks: Proficiency in building and optimizing data workflows using Spark.
- Medallion Architecture: Strong knowledge of designing and managing gold, silver, and bronze layers.
- Communication & Mentorship: Exceptional ability to explain complex technical solutions and mentor team members.
- Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Local availability to the office for initial onboarding (first two weeks) and weekly collaboration on Wednesdays.
